Battle of the Rockbridge County Smash Burgers: Hardens vs. Holy Cow

A Smash Burger is characterized by one or two thin, crispy beef patties formed by smashing a loose ball of beef onto a searing hot griddle. This technique creates caramelized, jagged edges packed with flavor while locking in a juicy, tender center. It's typically crowned with a unique special sauce for an extra taste dimension.
I have enjoyed smash burgers from Holy Cow on quite a few delicious occasions and recently tried my first Harden’s Smash Burger. Here are my findings.
–Hand cut french fries are top notch
–Fries come with side of special sauce
–You can top it with an egg
–Craft cocktails and a great wine list
–Only $5.75 for a Double Patty Burger
–Located in Glen Maury Park with beautiful views of the Maury river and a panoramic view of the Blue Ridge Mountains from Glen Maury’s Double-Decker Pavilion
–Pet Friendly outdoor seating, making it a great spot for dog lovers
–House made “extra creamy” ice cream with great prices ($1 for a pup cup to $9 for a very shareable banana split)
And the winner is... everyone! Since both options are incredibly delicious, the real winners are the residents and visitors of Rockbridge County. I highly recommend giving both Harden's and Holy Cow a visit and try them both!
